Mawda était une petite fille agée de deux ans quand elle a été tuée lors de l'interpellation par la police belge de la camionnette de migrants dans laquelle elle se trouvait.
Deux ans après, l'association Justice4Mawda nous a demandé de faire un film pour alerter l'opinion publique alors que le procès allait s'ouvrir.
Mawda was a two-year-old girl when she was tragically killed when the Belgian police arrested the migrant van in which she was travelling.
Two years later, the Justice4Mawda association asked us to make a film to draw public attention to the case as it was about to go to trial.
Les délais et le budget ne nous permettait pas de faire un film totalement animé pour nous avions vraiment envie de mettre notre expertise au service de cette cause.
Nous avons donc réalisé ce film en nous focalisant sur l'ambiance, et une successions de moments fixes, comme figés dans le temps.
Time and budget didn't allow us to make a fully animated film, so we really wanted to put our expertise to work for this cause.
So we made the film by focusing on the atmosphere, and a succession of fixed moments, as if frozen in time.
